About Me:

My name is Christine Winkelman, and I am the founder of Montessori Toddler Guide.  I am an AMI-certified guide with over 25 years of experience working directly with young children, with a deep focus on the 0-3 years.  My work in the classroom shaped how I understand child development, the prepared environment, and the quiet systems that support independence, concentration, and joy.  Through years of practice, I saw firsthand how clear, thoughtful systems support the adult, bringing clarity and confidence that directly strengthen the classroom.

These principles also shaped how my husband and I raised our children and how we experienced parenthood, influencing how we observed, prepared, and trusted the developmental process at home and encouraged independence.

After stepping out of the classroom, and as I increased the number of schools I worked with as a mentor, my mission shifted to supporting other educator.  Through Montessori Toddler Guide, I aim to save guides time, reduce overwhelm, and share practical, experience-based resources that support the adult and uphold are rooted in Montessori philosophy.  When the adult is supported, the classroom functions more smoothly and children are better able to thrive.
